As summer comes to a close and the peek season of fresh fruits and vegetables is decreasing, it becomes harder to be able to eat clean. Everyone know that there is no simple way to diet and no easy way to drop 50 pounds by sitting on the couch. Fortunately there are ways to keep you on the right track so your goals can be reached.
First things first, set a realistic goal for yourself, if you want to loss 50 pounds in 6 months that's great! Instead of looking at it as a whole break it down further, try going for about 8 pounds a month, that way when you reach the smaller mile stones it makes the over all goal seem more attainable. Remember to celebrate every pound lost, its hard work and you should be excited to see the the number on the scale move further down to your goal. Reward yourself with a healthy new snack, and for when the time comes to update your wardrobe go on a mini shopping spree.
The second thing to remember is don't feel like you have to disappear, you can still have a social life and stay on a diet. Give your self the benefit of the doubt, it's not going to be easy but it can be done. Instead of getting drinks at happy hour, suggest a quick hike to catch the sunset. After all it's about to be the best season for site seeing anyway, you can view the changing of the leaves and still catch up with your friends at the same time, its a win win!
