The curtains have closed on New York Fashion Week for the fall-winter 2015 collections, and what a week it was. Hundreds of shows and tons of new trends are awaiting us next season and I cant be more excited. Now there were plenty of amazing shows but I just want to touch on a few. Jenny Packham, Anna Sui and Diane von Furstenberg.
The Jenny Packham show started out with a bang with one of many gorgeous, show stopping sequined coats. The show kept you interested from the very first look to the very last. Vibrant colors and feminine silhouettes made their way down the runway and made for a cool, desirable collection. It was intricate and glittering. I absolutely loved it. The vibrant color pallet that consisted of emerald greens, deep blues, and pops of red and orange lit up the runway! Jenny has us excited for fall!
Another show I absolutely adored was Anna Sui. Her collection was filled of bold bohemian prints with a palette of purple, gold, black and red. With prints on prints and major layering every outfit was quirky but so cool! I would wear any of the pieces from this show, even the knitted Viking hat! So many great pieces with rich textures, colors and patterns, and what else do you really expect from Anna Sui?!
Lastly, Diane von Furstenberg. This collection had everything a woman needs; the iconic versatile wrap dress, power suits, jumpsuits, cute cocktail dresses and long gowns for the evening. Her collection used bright primary colors, lots of black and white, and the bold prints we've come to expect from her. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the show, but it was nothing too exciting or anything we haven’t seen before unfortunately.
Fashion week may be over, but we have these amazing clothes to look forward to! And the warm weather that will come eventually….
